    Access Center was a corporate tool providing the capability of a uniform interface for user requests. The business case here was built to migrate the User Access Request part of the process to a digital, paper-free, automated Access Center tool.
    • Initial scope of 70 applications had to be revised and categorized based on process complexity and business urgency.

Google’s $700K EDI infrastructure involved cross-functional teams from network security, network, telecom, EDI, database development, service desk, and business representatives, requiring extensive coordination and communication.
    I oversaw every aspect of this program, from building the new hardware infrastructure to installing and configuring AS2 and TradeXpress, to modifying network security and reconfiguring SAP. We also added two new monitoring tools as a value-added service: a web-based management information dashboard with instant access to information and a process event monitor that enabled Tech Data to monitor and resolve any customer flow issues.
    Project Highlights:
    • Propelled business performance by 30% through program management of EDI infrastructure build-out and development of optimized B2B workflows.
    • Expanded ERP capabilities to provide real-time pricing for HP distributors through $250K custom database application design and delivery.

    Project Overview: The goal of this program was to establish Business-to-Business (B2B) communication between our client’s ERP system and Kuenhe Nagel’s suppliers’ logistic information systems while meeting customer’s unique and specific business requirements (including business process and status updates).

    We created one of the most exciting logistics systems I’ve seen! With a single shipment number, our client was able to access real time shipment data on any item they have in transit. With large freight containers arriving from China and airfreight cargo being shipped around the world, having accurate, timely information is critical to supply chain and order management. Our integrated solution provided the missing link between their ERP and MIS systems and helped propel their inventory-dependent business to the next level.

    Project Highlights:
    • Reduced operation and administration costs 60% , created end-to-end B2B integration system for Sportsmaster Russia, and enabled client to track goods en route from Asia.
    • Simultaneously acted as business analyst and project lead, visiting client’s Moscow site on 3 occasions to develop business case and execute plan.
    • Created a bridge between Kuehne Nagel and Sportsmaster’s internal IT department, won support for technical changes, and reduced B2B errors.

    Project Team: I managed a small virtual team within Vienna, Austria; Hamburg, Germany; and Moscow, Russia.

    Project Overview: Created an end-to-end fully customized warehouse management solution for clients’ 3PL / Supply Chain operations. Managed everything from IT business analysis, EDI mapping, and interface development to integration, testing, and user training. This solution was built on a unified application core and was completely customizable to meet each client’s needs. With track and trace functionality, customers can identify the departure, arrival, and current location of any DHL item in transit. As a result, customers were able to automate logistics processes and optimize transport costs across the supply chain.

    Project Team: I coordinated a geographically distributed team (GDT) across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. using a follow-the-sun approach to achieve faster time to market.

    Project Budget: Varied per client (> $500.000)

    Project Overview: Kyocera’s growth projections were estimated to triple over the next 3-5 years yet their IT infrastructure was not ready to handle such dramatic growth. Our goal was to design a scalable environment to fit the growing needs of their business. We began by analyzing their existing infrastructure, gathering technical specifications, and looking at their resource utilization.

    Rather than attack all areas at once, I proposed a tiered upgrade plan that would incrementally grow along with their business while maximizing their current flow. As the program manager, my role was to drive implementation, adding processors, extending storage, enhancing databases and positioning them for growth. This required extensive coordination with technical teams and hands on leadership to move each phase forward in an effective manner.

    Project Team: This project was conducted largely onsite in Prague with cross-functional teams throughout all areas of IT.

    Project Budget: Between $70-97K per phase.
