It’s been a week, but we love to give credit where credit is due 🫡🫡🫡 Last Wednesday, our amazing Lucie Rehak-Novotna, CAMS kickstarted the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Day in Prague as one of the keynote speakers. And she absolutely knocked it out of the park! ⚾️🏟️🚀 Explaining the core principles and technical aspects behind our solutions is not easy. But Lucie has a unique blend of technical expertise and rhetoric skills that we love to take advantage of whenever possible. This time, with the few minutes and slides she had, Lucie perfectly summarized: - the current state of the financial crime prevention landscape, - the most pressing challenges we face on a daily basis, - and most importantly, how we leverage our own development in sync with the AWS infrastructure to deliver industry-leading solutions for document fraud and transaction monitoring. After the event, we were repeatedly approached with one simple message – that her speech was one of the highlights of the entire event. Another sunny morning in Prague, but today’s gonna be all about #cloud ☁️... As the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Day Prague is taking place today 🗓️🔔, one of the major Czech TV channels CNN Prima News took the opportunity to highlight the event and honor October as the #cybersecurity awareness month of the year. That’s why, on Monday, our CEO Martin Rehak joined a panel discussion together with Tibor Kolejak and Klára Starková (MONETA Money Bank) to discuss the latest trends regarding the cloud #technology, #AI and #fincrime prevention. Specifically, Martin talked about the cybersec challenges we face on a daily basis, how we handle these, and how we leverage the AWS cloud environment. "We have a responsibility for our clients' data, and as a relatively small startup, we have to guarantee that we have the same level of security as, for example, a big bank. Because we use AWS services, we can guarantee and prove this, providing the level of security required by the regulator for large financial institutions, even at a small company level." .... "I would say that you almost can't use AI without the cloud, especially in companies of our size, because we process millions of documents and tens to hundreds of millions of transactions a month. Without the ability to deploy our models in the cloud and push out a new version of the models basically every day, this would not be possible." "On the other hand, we have banking customers, and they understandably want these models to be ethical, compliant, and explainable, i.e. clear on what data it was trained, how and why. All of this is made possible by the AWS Sagemaker platform, where we have the processes for training and deploying models perfectly described, which allows us to operate fairly simply and very fast."
