Na začátku tohoto týdne jsme v PIERSTONE přivítali skvělé odborníky z oblasti financí a kybernetické bezpečnosti, kteří se podělili o své zkušenosti z oblasti kybernetické bezpečnosti, a to včetně nového nařízení #DORA. Velké díky výborným panelistům Tomáš Nýdrle, František Nonnemann, Petr Lipensky a Jakub Šebek za jejich praktická doporučení a zkušenosti. A pokud jste ještě o DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) neslyšeli - jedná se nové nařízení EU zaměřené na kybernetickou bezpečnost finančních institucí. Na rozdíl od směrnice #NIS2, která vyžaduje národní implementaci, DORA platí napřímo (s drobným doplněním připravovaného zákona o digitalizaci finančního trhu), které musí splnit nové povinnosti do 17. ledna 2025. Are you ready for the #DataAct? PIERSTONE explored this new piece of digital regulation during a recent workshop organized in cooperation with the EFDPO European Federation of Data Protection Officers and Berufsverband der Datenschutzbeauftragten Deutschlands (BvD) e.V. We thank the following expert speakers for their contributions: 👉 Michal Nulicek, who moderated the workshop and presented the 4 main pillars of the Data act. 👉 Jana Pattynova, who discussed the switchability obligations for cloud providers, preventing the so-called vendor lock-in, and how the Data Act aims to promote fair competition on the market for SMEs. 👉 Sven Jacobs spoke about trade secret protection under the Data Act and the different aspects of data sharing. 👉 Christoph Bausewein presented the challenges in implementing the Data Act, highlighting complexities such as longer contracts and their flexibility. He also clarified which scenarios will be exempt from the Act's obligations. 👉 Vladan Rámiš spoke about access to data by the public sector and related GDPR questions. In cooperation with the Association for Personal Data Protection in the Czech Republic, PIERSTONE organized an online workshop on Processing Personal Data for LLM Training.    The workshop addressed critical issues arising from emerging AI regulations and their interplay with GDPR, featuring the following expert speakers: ➡ Jana Pattynova presented the different approaches of supervisory authorities to applying legitimate interest as a legal basis for training LLMs. ➡ Jiri Balek spoke about the Hamburg Commissioner’s opinion that the storage of LLMs is not, in itself, processing of personal data under GDPR. ➡ Martin Cach explored the potential of training LLMs on health-related data for scientific research, touching on the European Health Data Spaces initiative. ➡ Václav Mach presented the publishers' perspective, emphasizing intellectual property concerns and noting the absence of a concrete licensing model for training AI systems on copyright-protected works.
