In 2011, When Lukáš Jabůrek designed the Pear vase for our glassworks, he had yet to turn 30 years old. One year later, he won the Public Award at Czech Grand Design, and Pear became one of Moser’s most sought-after products. With its new shade of topaz reseda, the Pear vase returns to the source of its inspiration. “Moser is on a new path, where soft and earthy tones reflect the contemporary perception of architecture and interiors. Introducing the iconic Pear vase in the new, natural shade of topaz reseda. The hand-blown and cut piece is a union of two elements – the tilt injects a touch of dynamism, while the robust base then provides stability. Together they create a perfectly balanced whole, which has gained popularity with thousands of clients and won the 2012 Czech Grand Design Public Award. The Pear vase is like a brilliant cut diamond, looming on a titled plain. The sharp edges arouse a sense of precision, while a pure soul hides within. The Moser glassworks and Karlovy Vary International Film Festival are an inseparable pair, which was once again proven during this year’s 58th anniversary. Not only do we traditionally make the festival’s awards – the Crystal Globes – but a wonderful atmosphere was savoured by all at our Moser flagship store in Grandhotel Pupp Karlovy Vary a.s. and at our glassworks, which welcomed an array of celebrities such as Geoffrey Rush and Viggo Mortensen and company representatives, for example from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Prague. Delicious drinks were also thoroughly enjoyed at our boutique. Delectable rums like Havana Club, Bumbu and La Hechicera were stylishly served in Splendid, Bar, and Culbuto glasses, while the pearly Champagne Perrier-Jouët and Champagne MUMM came in Royal glasses. These were marvellous days, and we’re already looking forward to the festival’s 59th anniversary next year! The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and the Moser glassworks go inherently hand in hand. Using traditional methods, our glassmakers make the festival’s awards: the Crystal Globes. After nearly a quarter century, the award underwent a transformation this year. Upon the festival’s request, both its height and weight were reduced. The original statue was 42 cm tall, while the new one is only 34.5 cm. And it once weighed 4.4 kg, but now only 2.6 kg. Also, the diameter of the crystal ball went from 11.5 cm to 9.1 cm. Now the award will be easier to hold and no one will struggle under its weight. The film awards have become not only a symbol of the festival but also the star of its famous signature trailers. We already saw everything you can do with the award in the humorous video mini-stories featuring multiple winners, including actors and directors such as Danny DeVito, Andy Garcia, Jude Law, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Mel Gibson, Zdeněk Svěrák, Miloš Forman, Věra Chytilová, and Jiří Menzel. For four years now, we’ve been the proud partner of the international CSIO3*-W CET Prague Cup 2024 show-jumping competitions. They were held last weekend in Velká Chuchle. And once again, we made the crystal trophies for this prestigious event. The winners of each category received the Four Seasons vase by Moser, designed by renowned artist Jiří Šuhájek. Winners of the smaller contests then walked away with sandblasted crystal pucks. On Friday, June 28, the #MoserCup was held as part of the show-jumping competitions.
