A recent study from Datos (SemRush company) revealed that only 41% of people click on Google search results. What does this mean for your content marketing strategy? We have been saying for years that focusing on Google traffic is the wrong focus on content marketing. We focus on conversions from content we create. In short here is what our team is focusing on: 1.) investing more in content marketing directly to communities where our audience hangs out - YouTube channels, newsletters, podcasts, blogs, publications, etc. Diversifying our efforts away from simply SEO. 2.) ranch SEO where we target keywords for which the SERP is not monopolized with AI answers and info boxes and still gets healthy CTRs. I started my career at Omnisend working on SEO by myself. It was lonely—no colleagues in SEO, no content management system. But I was highly motivated to increase traffic to the Omnisend website and, one day, meet my guru, Tim Soulo. After 12 months, I finally got the chance to book an online meeting with Tim. He challenged my work, and it was a big day for me as a young SEO specialist. Fast forward six years, and my boss, Rytis Lauris, was speaking at SaaSOpen about how our SEO efforts are now driving Omnisend's revenue growth. What did I learn from that? • Speed is always important. • The key to seeing growth is consistent daily effort—there's no magic formula. One day, you're editing content in an HTML file and upload files via FTP. The next, you have a data team that enables you to track the revenue generated by specific pieces of content.

Content marketers and $$$ pegged performance metrics - a nightmare dressed as a daydream! This is a common tension for content marketers across all industries. Balancing dollar value to content performance is not easy and none of us can accurately attribute sales or conversions to specific content pieces. How do we quantify our efforts in brand awareness, nurturing customer relationships, and establishing thought leadership? Here’s how: 1️⃣ Share and store that whole recording on your site, or where it makes sense for your target audience to access it 2️⃣ Upload the file to Descript - use this to create 5 smaller clips of the greatest hits moments from your webinar.
