With the help of staff at Kofinou Reception Centre, the European Agency for Asylum #EUAA, and the support of our sponsors, we are pleased to announce the installation of two “Ballot Bins” at the Kofinou center in Larnaca district. The balllot bins help to encourage residents to put out cigarettes and/or dispose of them safely by “voting” on any particular topic. To keep it fun and simple, the question “Coffee or Tea?” was chosen, with coffee quickly taking the lead. In #plasticfreejuly representatives of Let's Make Cyprus Green with the assistance of the EU Agency for Asylum #EUAA distributed over 300 free refillable water bottles to the residents of Kofinou and Limnes Reception centers. The aim of the project, funded by our supporters, is to raise awareness about environmental issues, to reduce plastic waste on our beautiful island, to encourage use of the many water refill stations we are installing island-wide and to provide much needed assistance and support to vulnerable groups within our community. #plasticwaste #reducewaste #helprefugees
