Agenda

ARDM-24 takes places June 6 and 7. You can find the complete agenda here.

In-Person Attendees

Venue

The workshop will be held at the University of Chicago Rubenstein Forum and will begin at 9am each day.

Hotel

The conference hotel is the Hyatt Place in Hyde Park (5225 S. Harper Avenue Chicago, IL 60615). The University of Chicago has a campus shuttle, which can be used free of charge to travel between the Hyatt and the Rubenstein Forum. Please let the shuttle driver know that you are attending a University of Chicago event at the Rubenstein Forum. The shuttle picks up at the entrance of Harper Court and lets off at the corner of 60th/Woodlawn. Service runs Mon-Fri, 7am-6pm. Between 7am-8am there is a shuttle every 30 min, from 8am-10:30am every 15 minutes, then 10:30am-6pm every 30 min. More information can be found here for the 53rd Street Express. Once at Rubenstein, a staff member can point you in the direction of the workshop.

Zoom

We will make every effort to make the workshop inclusive of remote attendees. Therefore, we ask you to keep zoom open on your laptop with your camera on, but with no audio. If you speak during the meeting please use the provided microphone.  During breakout sessions please use the zoom whiteboard feature and provided microphones (if present).

Slack

We have created a slack workspace to enable in-depth conversation and interactions among the attendees (both remote and in-person). We will also be using the zoom chat during the conference for questions about a specific talk, but Slack is persistent and allows for longer and more complex interactions; it should be a great compliment to the zoom chat. Please register for slack here and look for the #ardm-24 channel.

Virtual Attendees

Zoom

We will make every effort to make the workshop inclusive of remote attendees. In order to best accommodate the hybrid meeting, please remain muted and raise your hand before speaking. We will have someone monitoring the chat, the raised hands, and muting. Please also engage actively in the zoom chat (for talk-specific comments and questions) or in Slack for more general discussion.

Ten Pillars for Data Meshes White paper

As a reminder, we will be working to refine a white paper at the workshop, which we have drafted and discussed at the two preliminary webinars. Please review in advance and feel free to leave comments and feedback in the document itself.
