Get closer and hear the story of an unusual hero's epic journey. (What? Yeah, I know. Your name is Frank. Can I continue?)

So listen, like a true hero without fear or shame, Frank immediately set out selflessly to save the world. (What? Well, it wasn't selflessly and not willingly. Look, do you want to tell the story yourself? No? So shut up and leave it to me.)

Well, it wasn't so selfless because he was promised a huge reward for it, so he decided to help out and went on a quest where he met some cute and friendly creatures. (Huh? They was cute, but definitely not friendly? Look, I can't scare everyone right now. I have to start easy. Otherwise I won't finish this story.)

Our hero Frank literally overcame giant mountains and icy plains, deep forests and dark undergrounds, he even visited a mysterious old castle, and all this just to face an enemy the world had never known before. (Hey, that's not nice of you. I can't say it was an orange scumbag. This doesn't fit in an epic story. Evil must always be big and seemingly invincible.)

So, at the end, an orange scumbag was waiting for him... eh, what am I saying?.. an enemy of unprecedented size and immeasurable power, with whom our hero named Frank had to cross forces. (What? You ran away from him like a hare? But you're not a hare. Ah, figuratively speaking. Oh, my God. You know what? Finish this story yourself. I'm done.)

If you want to know how this epic and goofy story ends, then accompany our little hero named Frank (Satisfied?) on his quest for glory and saving the world. (I know you only care about the promised nuts.)

This is really nuts.

Do you like playing platform games and especially the old ones? A brand new and yet old game (in appearance) in 16-bit cartoon graphics. Experience a crazy adventure with an unusual hero. Suitable for everyone who wants to relax and have a good time. The individual levels are just the right length, and the difficulty is also set appropriately to make the game fun, but still not entirely easy. It all just depends on your skill. Beautiful pixel graphics like the good old games, but not insanely and deliberately difficult to play. Reminisce about the good old games with something new yet familiar.

A short summary:

  • 18 hand crafted levels
  • Lots of weird enemies
  • Endgame boss fight (level 19th)
  • You can replay already completed levels and beat your previous score
  • Each level with a different musical theme to set the right mood
  • 16-bit graphics
  • Cartoon violence (no blood)
  • Controls with keyboard or gamepad (Xbox or compatible) and mouse in game menu
  • And of course lots of fun :-)

Thank you. :)

Hey man,

I recently came across Going for Nuts, and I’m really entertained by its fun concept and gameplay. I wanted to ask a couple of questions to better understand the inspiration and vision behind the game:

What inspired you to create Going for Nuts? Was there a specific idea or challenge that sparked its development?

Are there any features or aspects of Going for Nuts that you’re particularly proud of? What do you think makes it stand out in the casual or arcade genre?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. I’d love to hear more about your creative process and the journey behind the game!

Best regards,

Jamiu

Hi,  I'm most proud of finishing the game. 😂

If I had to pick something from the game, it would be the level with the haunted castle, which I am proud of.

Otherwise, the inspiration was simple. I loved playing similar games and wanted to create something of my own. I like cartoons and old games, so I decided to combine this two things together. I think that's what could make the game stand out a bit.

Cool, I'm so impressed by the incredible work you’ve put into this game. Your dedication and effort are evident in every detail, and it’s clear how much passion and skill went into creating such an amazing experience.

So what would you say are your main goals for the game, such as growing a player base, increasing engagement, or generating revenue? Have you encountered any challenges in reaching those goals so far?

Thanks for the nice comment and for your questions. I don't know right now and no. :)

Okay good, the eason I reach out is that I specialize in helping games grow their audience and visibility. I’d love to explore how we could collaborate to help the game find its niche and connect with more players who would enjoy it. Together, we could build a strong community, expand the player base, and gain the traction needed to take the game to the next level.

Let me know if this is something you’d be interested in!
