Hello,FME Flow announces the deprecation of the JobWaiter transformer:2024-9-2 10:59:42 | FMEFlowJobWaiter (ServerFactory): FMEFlowJobWaiter was deprecated in 2024.1.0. Its support lifetime is limited because the v3 FME Flow REST API will be removed in future FME releases. When the v3 API is removed, this transformer will stop working. Please update this workspace to use an HTTPCaller to call the relevant REST API directly instead.Question: Is there any ‘how-to’ with a sample workspace which REST call can be used to replace the JobWaiter functionalities? My sample scenario would be: You have 5 jobs running in parallel (wait to complete NO), JobWaiter polls every 20sec until all 5 job_ids are received and completed. all 5 jobs must have _status SUCCESS before Job #6 is called.I tried GET /transformations/jobs/id/{jobid}/result but it failed with 404. sequentially looping a workspace using attribute values

Hi,I am wondering if someone can give me some ideas on how I could pass the result of a sql query from a sql executor so that the result or specifically an ID is passed sequentially so that each is fully processed before the next one starts. So the result is as shown below. The attribute I’d like to pass one by one is either the device_id or the row_index.I have had a look at this post iterating/looping a workspace using attribute values | Community but cannot formulate the workbench to do this task.Any suggestions very welcome.Thank you.fb

Writing ArcGIS Geodatabase attachments - origin row error

I am working with a script that transfers data from one SDE to another SDE. Currently, the script does not ensure that the relationship between a feature and its attachment remains intact. To address this, I extended the workspace based on the guidelines in this article: Writing ArcGIS Geodatabase Attachments.This solution worked fine when transferring data from one GDB to another GDB using the same data model. However, when we run the script from one SDE to another SDE with the same data model and data, it fails and I encounter the following error messages: Failed to retrieve origin row for a relationship feature with OBJECTID '3' from table/feature class 'BAGGERWERK_WATERLOPEN' GeodatabaseRelationshipFeaturesPipeline::GeodatabaseRelationshipFeatures (SortFactory): A fatal error has occurred. Could you provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?

New Snowflake geometry data type (not geography)

Snowflake recently released their new "geometry" data type. Not to be confused with the existing "geography" data type. The geometry data type can contain geometries in other coordinate systems, not just WGS84. Whereas geography is specifically WGS84. See Geography vs Geometry data types documentation hereGeospatial Data Types — Snowflake Documentation When will FME support writing of the new snowflake geometry data types? Is there a way to do this right now, or will it be a future release of the Snowflake Spatial writer?

RasterExtractor duplicating one blob value for all input feature types

Hi folks,I have multiple images I need to extract blob data for. When I input my individual feature types into the Raster Extractor (eg. 32 JPEGs, as shown in image below) the raster extractor seems to duplicate the first image for all of the feature types, so I end up with a blob of the first image for all of my individual feature types:This results in the first image duplicated, as a blob, for all 32 features - when I require a unique blob value for each input feature. The only workaround I’ve found is to have a raster extractor for each feature type, which is not suitable.Any help is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Aaron

Trouble with FME Form when having 3 displays

Has anybody experienced an issue starting FME Form (tried from v2023.2.1 to v2024.2) when having 3 displays connected.We have 2 LG 24MP60G 1080p monitors conected to a Dell Alienware X15 R1 (Intel Core i7-11800H 4.20Ghz, nVidia GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, 32 GB DDR4). In this setup FME opens as a blank white windows.If we disconnect any monitor FME starts as usual.Please let me know if anybody else experienced something similar or if this is a known issue.

FME FLOW Restore Backup fails after upgrade from 2023.1 to 2024.2

Hello,I just performed an upgrade from FME FLOW 2023.1 to version 2024.2 and now I have a big problem because I can’t restore the backup I made before upgrading.The restore process fails with The system restore failed for the following reason:The export location provided is invalid.The error message in the History list saysCOM.safe.fmeserver.configuration.migration.FMEConfigurationException: java.lang.NullPointerException: inputStreamin a red box just above the heading “Failure”.The log just states Unable to extract import package. The backup.fsconfig is a quite large file (15 GB) because I forgot to remove some raster files from the resources before creating the backup. I copied it manually to the resources/Backup folder so I can select it from there for restoring instead of uploading. Nonetheless it won’t restore.I can unzip the file and see its content, so the archive itself is seemingly OK. What I did try:Unzipped the file to a directory, removed the raster files from the created s

I often put Terminator nodes on joins that are not expected to fail and TestFilter nodes meant to be exhaustive as kind of assertions to make sure my data makes sense. However, if these assumptions start breaking, they usually break for more than one feature, and if that happens, debugging this once it’s already been pushed to FME Flow becomes a game of whack-a-mole (with the reported error actually hiding a dozen more), unless we modify the flow in order to debug the error.I do have custom solutions to buffer errors in some cases, but getting this to work is complex and requires a lot of carefully arranged transformers for each potential termnator.(ProritySwitch is used to ensure no features can come through until all errors have been handled. It’s a custom transformer, more info here) It would be conveinient if Terminators could be configured to buffer all errors instead of terminating on the first one, to allow outputting and formatting all errors at the same time.

Identify matching substrings from multiple attributes

Hi everyone,I am trying to match attributes and write the matching part of the substrings into a new attribute. The following table explains it best: 1 2 3 4 match 03.02.06.03.02.01 03.02.06.03.04 03.02.06.03.02.02 03.02.06.04.03.01 03.02.06 03.02.06.03.04.02 03.02.06.03.09.01 03.02.06.03.01.01 03.02.06.03.04.01 03.02.06.03 03.01.04.05 03.01.04 03.01.04 Note that the fields may also be empty and should then be ignored and not all strings are the same lenght. I am also trying to match from the start of the string only. The only idea that came to me so far is to create lists for each attribute using the attribute splitter and then use conditionals to compare each two-digit part seperately, create each sequence and then string them back together. Maybe there is an easier way? Best reagrds.

FME Workbench and other FME Form software broken by VMWare Tools

Since updating our FME Form host computer with the latest version of VMWare Tools, FME Desktop, FME Data Inspector, and all other FME Form GUI software does not run.We briefly get a spinner and then nothing.
