File:Katia at peak intensity.png has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Copyright status: File:Irene Aug 15 2005.png
[edit]Copyright status: File:Irene Aug 15 2005.png
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Irene Aug 15 2005.png. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Pay attention to licensing
|
Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content: images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose.
File:Blas Jul 13 2004.png seems to be free (or it would be proposed for deletion), but it was identified as having a wrong license. Usually, it is because a public domain image is tagged with a free license, or because the stated source or other information is not sufficient to prove the selected tag is correct. Please verify that you applied the correct license tag for this file. If you believe this file has the correct license, please explain why on the file discussion page.

The reason given by the user who added this tag is: Needs a NASA license tag (assuming NASA is the rightsholder)

License tag
[edit]When you uploading satellite image of NASA Worldview, could you please select the NASA license. You should click "This work was made by the United States government" and then click "Original work of NASA". Many thanks. --B dash (talk) 02:56, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
Can you change the track map of the hurricane season?
[edit]Can you please change the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season main track map on Barry's path because it is outdated and I am asking you. Unfortunetly, I can't change the picture because I am not very good at uploading photos and it's a bit confusing to understand. Thank you! Purplemountainman (talk) 20:52, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
Barry's track map is incomplete because the TD/post-trop phase was written manually by User:FleurDeOdile. If they could update it or supply me the data, that would help. - Master0Garfield (talk) 01:47, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
data exists on Barry's file although it can be converted to ATCF format FleurDeOdile (talk) 01:59, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
So... is anyone uploading a new file of the track map? Purplemountainman (talk) 15:32, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
I have updated it. - Master0Garfield (talk) 22:19, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
Sorry to bother you, but Barry has traveled a little farther than shown and could you reposition the 6-hour intervals? I am very sorry that I am disturbing you (By the way, I can be a little bit irritable and can complain a lot, sorry). Purplemountainman (talk) 17:23, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
Autopatrol given
[edit]Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you.--A1Cafel (talk) 14:42, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
Thank you! I'll use it well. - Master0Garfield (talk) 15:33, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
