Cdlt, VIGNERON * discut. 19:33, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

New Version of File:AveZaragozaDelicias.jpg
[edit]Hello Kirikou,
I've created a new version of the upper named train-image:
- "retouching of considerably remaining background-corners: each filling up with nearby located snippets;"
What do you think, have I done too much or is this version more suitable for the Articles?
Feel free to restore the further version or try a only cropped one yourself.

File:Travaux T7 Thiais - Aout 2012 (7 & 8).jpg
Cordialement. BSicons
[edit]Please do not upload BSicons with "LUECKE" in their titles. This root has been deprecated; icons should be named with the prefix "L" prepended to the name of what an icon with a solid track would be named, e.g. (uxvSTRq
) -> (uxvLSTRq
). YLSS (talk) 17:11, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the remark. I've seen my mistake right after the upload of the file.--Akiry (talk) 11:00, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
GRENZEs
[edit]Please have a look at Category talk:Icons for railway descriptions/experimental/borders. It was decided that BSicons with the "GRENZE" geometry should be named using "ZOLL" root and possibly should have a slightly different design, while BSicons with the "eGRENZE" geometry should be named using "GRZ" root and possibly should have a slightly different design as well. (It will also be good if you post a question at that page about e.g. how (uGRENZE
) should be named precisely; that discussion seems to have stalled.) Also, I have proposed here that (vSTRgf
) etc. should rather be named (vSTRg-STRf
), although nobody has said the final word. YLSS (talk) 20:41, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not creating any new BSIcon, I'm just filling blanks in the list of icon of english wikipedia.
- The new functionnality of file renaming is avaliable so if the design of the picture is good, the name of the file can be changed if necessary. And it will be very simple to rename a bunch of files with the same root in one time.
- If you need someone to discuss nomenclatur of BSIcon, I suggest you to speak with the user geofer. He made or did fast all of the railway diagrams of the french wiki and I'm pretty sure he will be very efficient to fix many incoherences that still exists in the BS nomenclatur.
- I saw that there is a probleme of coherence between radicals GRENZE BRUCKE (parallele lines) and BRUCKE GRENZE (single line).
- I'm mainly working with parallel icons so I'm not gonna do anymore borders.
- Once again thank you for your advices.--Akiry (talk) 01:12, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Shifts
[edit]Hello once again) I think there is another discussion that you should be aware: Talk:BSicon/Renaming/SPL. I can't say that it really came to a conclusion, but not so long ago I've started implementing its proposals (see Category:Icons for railway descriptions/shift), and there doesn't seem to be any opposition from other members of COM:WPBS (BTW, you should join!). Everything is still quite experimental, so if you don't mind, I'll use your uploads to fill in the gaps.
Also, since you're uploading more and more files (thanks!), I would recommend you not to use Inkscape any more: it embeds a lot of unnecessary information into svg files that just clutters everything (see Category:SVG Simplified). It is better to open some existing clean svg file with a simple text editor: Notepad, Notepad etc. The results can be previewed in any modern browser. You may also find Talk:BSicon/Icon geometry and SVG code neatness interesting, there are many useful suggestions (incl. masking for tunnel lines). P.S. I guess (lvCUT-Re
) & (lvCUT-Le
) should be swapped. YLSS (talk) 16:43, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
