The rear of Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service vehicle (KX11 AYV), a Scania fire engine in Quay Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, there rescuing a pigeon which had become trapped above shops in Watchbell Lane.

The branch of Thorntons, in the High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight in July 2011. At the time, the company was going through financial difficulties, and had announced plans to close many stores. However, this branch still remains open.

Construction works taking place at the new Island Innovation Sixth Form Campus, in Newport, Isle of Wight. It is on the site of the former Nodehilll Middle School, which, after education reforms implemented by the Isle of Wight Council, became the sixth form campus for Carisbrooke and Medina Colleges, both of which are now run in hard federation with each other by the Island Innovation Trust. It is seen days before opening to students, with some criticism, as construction works were still taking place after it opened in September 2011.

The interior of Southern Vectis 3361 Western Haven (HW54 DCF), a Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2, pulled in at the 'Boots' bus stop in the High Street, Ventnor, Isle of Wight. It is seen having been recently acquired by Southern Vectis from Wightbus and was one of the first to be repainted green (as can be seen by the open door). At this point, the clock at the front of the bus had been kept from when the vehicle was with Wightbus. Unfortunately this has since been removed.

The branch of Natwest, in the High Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight, in September 2011. Despite criticism from local residents, Natwest closed this branch in November 2011 along with another branch at Ventnor.

Steephill Path, Shanklin, Isle of Wight. Interstingly, there is still a sign pointing people to tourist information. However, from April 2011, all tourist information centres on the island were closed by the Isle of Wight Council.

Southern Vectis 235 Luccombe Bay (XDL 872), a MAN 11.190/Caetano Algarve, in the High Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight. It was out of service at the time, having just finished operating route 24 to Yaverland, and now moving to Shanklin ton start on route 23. Both routes were in their last day of operation with Wightbus, however, Wightbus vehicles had transferred to Southern Vectis early to allow them to rebrand them for the new timetable. As a result, some coaches from Southern Vectis were running on Wightbus routes during their last few weeks.

Southern Vectis 863 Brook Ledge (R812 NUD), a Volvo B10M-62/Plaxton Premiere 350, turning from Terminus Road into Carvel Lane, Cowes, Isle of Wight on route X1. It was Cowes Week at the time, and this was one of a number of additional buses used on route 1 during the week to cope with extra demand. The route X1 had also been used just for Cowes Week 2011.

A donation box outside the public toilets at Steephill Cove, Ventnor, Isle of Wight. In April 2011, the Isle of Wight Council closed a number of public toilets to save money after funding cuts from central government. Some, like this one were taken over and maintained by volunteers and so rely on donations from users.

Through it's time with Southern Vectis, this vehicle was used on school services, so it is very unusual to see it operating a regular route. The driver was standing outside to let people know it was a number 9 bus, and no-one was charged for their journey.

Southern Vectis 3329 Thorley Brook (HW54 DCE), a Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2 MPD, in the High Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight on route 1. This bus was previously part of the Isle of Wight Council's Wightbus service until it was axed in September 2011. For most of it's time under Wightbus it was used on the Rail Link route (seen here. This bus was one of five to transfer to Southern Vectis.
