Joanna Hiffernan, (sometimes Joanna Heffernan) (* around 1843; † after 1903) was a red haired woman of Ireland, who was a model between 1861 bis 1868 for the painters Gustave Courbet and James McNeill Whistler. She is presented on some famous works.
