English: French version of a diagram showing the location of tornado alley and the related weather systems based on File:Tor alley.jpg (public domain, NOAA) but modified to include data from File:Significant tornado alley.gif (public domain, NOAA).
Français : Diagramme montrant les systèmes météorologiques et qui favorisent la formation de tornades dans ce qui est communément appelé la «Tornado alley» aux États-Unis. L'air froid continental arrivant de l'Ouest canadien se mêle à de l'air plus sec et chaud des déserts du sud-ouest des États-Unis et entre en contact avec de l'air chaud et humide venant du Golfe du Mexique au-dessus de cette région. Le tout donne une masse d'air instable où se développent des orages puissants qui bénéficient d'un fort cisaillement des vents avec l'altitude générateurs de rotation et donc de tornades. Basée sur File:Tornado_Alley_Diagram.svg, lui fait à partir de File:Tor alley.jpg (domaine publique par NOAA), incluant les données de File:Significant tornado alley.gif (lui aussi par NOAA). |
