Description Something strange came over me here, as I was looking at the distant view of the town of Shemakha with the foreground of the many graves in the foreground. These graves are of the Shemakha sheikhs or nobility of a long time ago. I though that this picture gives a good contrast of the past (the graves) with the present (the current bustling town). We are at the hilltop Yeddi Gumbaz Mausloleum near Shemakha, Azerbaijan. (Shemakha (Shamakhi), Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017)
