Description
Deutsch: Naturschutzgebiet Mainzer Sand: Der Scharfe Mauerpfeffer (Sedum acre) gehört zu den Dickblattgewächsen (fette Henne) und liebt trockene, sandige und sonnige Standort. Die Trugdolde der Blüten ist zitronen- bis honiggelb. Als Kulturpflanze findet man ihn gerne in Steingärten. Seine Blätter schmecken scharf, er ist leicht giftig, galt aber als Heilpflanze in der Antike. Blütezeit Juni bis August.
