| Description |
English: A sauropod manus print at the Pegadas de Dinossáurios da Serra de Aire Natural Monument, Portugal, showing the inwards recurved claw impression of digit #1 (at the top edge), as well as the "toe prints" of digits 2-5. The animal was walking towards the left side of the photo. Soft-sediment (mud) overflown from the pressure of the animal's paw is also seen to have formed a raised rim around the print. Some loss of detail from rainwater dissolution is already noticeable on the print from the multi-year exposure to the elements since the print was uncovered. |
