Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Saragarhi Memorial Gurudwara was constructed to honour the 21 Sikh soldiers who belonged to the 36th Sikh Regiment. The soldiers died while defending the Fort Saragarhi on 12th September 1897 in Wazirstan. It was constructed by the Army Authorities. The Gurudwara was inaugurated by the Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, Sir Charles Pevz in 1904. Every year, on 12th September, two separate meetings are held here, a religious assemblage in the morning and a reunion of ex-servicemen in the evening.
