First generate 10 seconds of Gaussian white noise sampled at 48 kHz: 

white=randn(48000*10 1,1);

Then differentiate it and normalize it to [-1.0, 1.0), so it can be written to a .wav file: 

purple=diff(white);
purple=purple/(max(abs(purple)));
wavwrite(purple,48000,16,'purple.wav');
