Description

Illtreatment in Norwegian prisons. In the middle of March 1942 a lot of Swedish Newspapers were confiscated after having published articles of the cruel methods which Germans use against Norwegian prisoners. The confiscation aroused great sensation, and the press reacted very strongly. The Swedish newspaper, “Göteborg Handel -og Sjøfarts Tidning” printed afterwards the title” In Norwegian prisons and consentration camps” without any captions below, only empty colums, and demonstrated in this way to its readers that it had not got the opportunity to print the truth of the Germans`behavior in Norway.
