Description
Nederlands: President Isaac Ben Zwi van Israël en zijn echtgenote worden op Schiphol begroet door H.A. Cidor, Israëlisch ambassadeur, zionistische jeugdorganisaties en minister-president Willem Drees. Hij legt, geholpen door Cidor en zijn adjudant en in aanwezigheid van opperrabbijn Aron Schuster, een krans bij het Nationaal Monument op De Dam te Amsterdam. Later neemt hij in de Hollandsche Schouwburg deel aan een korte herdenkingsdienst voor omgekomen Nederlandse joden, waarbij Schuster een gebed uitspreekt.
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented. President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi of Israel and his wife are welcomed at Schiphol Airport by H.A. Cidor, Israelian ambassador, zionist youth organisations and Prime Minister Willem Drees. He lays a wreath at the National Monument on Dam Square in Amsterdam, helped by Cidor and his adjutant and in the presence of Chief Rabbi Aron Schuster. Later on he attends a short memorial service for the killed Jews in the Hollandsche Schouwburg, at which Schuster says a prayer.
