Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_68918_20200630_140538.jpg Notes: מגדיאל הוקמה ביולי 1924. בזמן זה התכנסו בתל אביב 12 המייסדים והחליטו יחדיו להקים יישוב עברי חדש אשר בו יעבדו פועלים עבריים. המייסדים פנו לחברת הכשרת היישוב והחליטו לקנות 4000 דונם באזור הכפר הערבי ביאר עדס. השטח נקנה מהשייח39 אבו כישכ ועל הגבעה הקים חיים קולטון עולה מפולין שהגיע ארצה מספר חודשים קודם את הצריף הראשון. במשך כשנה הייתה משפחת קולטון המשפחה היחידה בכל המושבה ושאר המייסדים עזרו לעבד את האדמה אך נשארו לגור בכפר סבא. הצריף של משפחת קולטון הפך למוזיאון העירוניויקיפדיה
