Description
English: This casserole began to be prepared for a traditional Chilean "pastel de papas", with coarsely ground veal (carne picada, in fact it shouldn't be called minced or ground, as in Spanish there are "carne picada" and "carne molida", different things, at least in parts of the Spanish-speaking world), hard boiled eggs, black olives, raisins, etc and mashed potatoes to cover all; but the the cook decided to add some freshly cooked (almost simmered for a minute or so in boiling water) "spinach" to the traditional "receta". Maybe we could call this "pastel de papas a la turca", as a joke, but in the end it is the original, traditional, very tasty Chilean creole dish, simply with a touch of the cook.
