"Los zamoranos de 1908 dedican esta inscripción a los héroes del 6 de enero de 1809"

"Este monumento fue erigido en 1819"

Commemorating the people of Zamora fallen at the "Batalla de Villagodio" on the 6th of January 1809, defending the town of Zamora against the napoleonic invasion.
