| Description |
English: Nuneaton station, Up side view with new platforms 2006. View SE from the Down Main platform, towards Rugby and London, also Coventry: ex-LNWR Trent Valley station on the West Coast Main Line. On the left are the platforms for the new (2004) link with the ex-Midland Leicester - Birmingham line, on which until 4/3/68 Midland trains ran through the former Nuneaton Abbey Street station, not connecting with the WCML. Passenger services from here to Coventry were suspended from 18/1/65 until 16/5/88. Until 10/63 there was also a line to Loughborough (Derby Road), which however had no passenger service since 4/31. |
