Description
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt die Stadtmulde am Berg Musa Dagh, in der sich im Jahr 1915 4000 Armenier auf der Flucht vor der Vertreibung verbarrikadiert haben und am 12. September 1915 gerettet wurden. Das Bild wurde von Andre Thess am 12. September 2015, dem 100. Jahrestag der Rettung der Armenier aufgenommen.
English: The picture shows the site at the Musa Dagh mountain where the 4000 Armenian People described in Franz Werfels book "The 40 days of Musa Dagh" resisted the attack of the Turkish army in summer 1915. The picture was taken by Andre Thess on 12 September 2015, the 100th anniversary of the rescue of the Armenians.
