English: Round Canopy Parachuting Team Netherlands parachutes onto drop zone "A" for a special remembrance jump, "Vincent Speranza Memorial Jump," at the Koeveringsedijk in Eerde, Netherlands on September 14, 2023.

During the event, Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division joined RCPT and assisted the jumpers in drop zone duties on the same drop zone where their predecessors stood nearly 79 years ago. This event is part of the 79th commemoration week of Operation Market Garden. RCPT dedicated this jump to Vincent Speranza, who passed away earlier this year and all the WWII veterans who demonstrated the selfless service and sacrifice that characterizes the Greatest Generation in defense of global peace and security.

A table was set up to honor the late Pvt. Vincent Speranza who served in the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division during World War 2. Speranza, a regular at commemoration event, and well know among the veteran and paratrooper community, pass away at the age of 98 in August of 2023.

Operation Market Garden was an Airborne Operation that took place in the Netherlands during World War 2 and is remembered in the Netherlands today, not only to as a commemoration for those who fought and died, but also as a celebration of the liberation of the Netherlands that came about during the months following Operation Market Garden.
