Dragon Robe or Longpao (龍袍) in Mandarin is the robe wore only by the emperors of China. In the Qing Dynasty black is used in many royalty & government robes. However in many other Chinese dynasty, a dragon robe is often in golden yellow color. In fact, the Chinese term yellow robe (黃袍) often refers to the imperial robe.
