Français : Ce n'est pas le titre d'une œuvre littéraire, encore moins un film, mais la scène à laquelle j'ai assisté.
L'ouvrage, à l'ouest de Thouars et dominant la vallée du Thouet d'une quarantaine de mètres, au départ à voie unique, est mis en service au cours de la décennie 1870. Rapidement doublé en vue d'absorber un trafic exponentiel -- l'océan attirait déjà les foules ! --, il est tombé par les Allemands en 44 suite à leur retrait, et remis sur pieds en un temps record. Cette configuration particulière est bien visible sur la pile de droite, dont la largeur inhabituelle ne laisse planer aucun doute. Ce viaduc est aujourd'hui emprunté par une dizaine de circulations quotidiennes, mixtes, aussi bien fret que voyageurs :
