Description
Svenska: I år var det 50:e gången som Stockholms stad satte ut laxar i Stockholms vatten och årets jubileum gästades av H.M. Konungen. Laxsläppet är Stockholms stads utsättning av lax och öring i olika vattendrag i Stockholmsregionen. Vid årets släpp sattes 30 000 öringsungar ut i Stockholms ström nedanför Kungliga Operan. Evenemanget är ett uppskattat inslag i Stockholmsvåren och har ändamålet att behålla den biologiska mångfalden och dessutom bidra till friluftsmöjligheter som fiske. Heba Fastigheter AB har varit en del av Laxsläppet sedan 2013 och är huvudsponsor. Utsättningarna säkrar friska rovfiskbestånd i skärgården. Att de utplanterade fiskarna återvänder år efter år skapar en biologisk mångfald i stadens vatten och ger unika fiskemöjligheter. Dessutom har utsättningen en viktigt pedagogisk roll när barn och vuxna får uppleva laxfiskar mitt i huvudstaden, säger Oliver Karlöf, fiskbiolog Stockholms stads idrottsförvaltning.
