Description

Kulcha are Indian style stuffed breads. Dozens of different stuffings are used, from fresh seasonal veggies to left overs, from sweet to salty mixes, from dry fruits to milk solids creating dozens of varieties.

Parathas, or paranthas are similarly stuffed breads but prepared in a different way than kulchas. The difference between a Kulcha and Paratha is that a Paratha is unleavened and made using whole wheat flour then baked/toasted on a pan with little ghee, whereas a Kulcha is first leavened typically made using white flour and baked inside a tandoor oven. The taste and textures between the two are different; both are delicious.
