Summary
[edit]DescriptionIntensities for different wavelengths.png |
English: Intensities I (normalized on the intensity I(0) for the diffraction angle 0) of light diffracted by drops in clouds, dependent on diffraction angle ("Ablenkwinkel" at the y-axis in the figure). The curves are calculated after diffraction theory. "1. Ringsystem" means the 1st system of colored rings of a corona around the moon. Shown are intensities of different wavelengths: blue ("blau"); red ("rot"); yellow ("gelb"). As for each color the intensity has its maximum value for another diffraction angle, the corona consists of different colored rings. (Calculation was done for a drop size of 10 micrometer radius.) |

This graph image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Intensities for different wavelengths.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |
