Italiano: Le origini dello stemma risalgono al periodo medioevale, ed alla famiglia dei Conti di Tirolo, che avevano preso il nome dall'omonimo castello. Lo stemma è stato adottato nel 1970, anno in cui fu aggiunto il ramo di tiglio all'originale insegna.
English: In Tirol was the founding castle of the Lords, later Counts of Tirol (Tyrolia). The Tyrolean eagle is very common in arms of Tyrolean municipalities and is still used as the arms of the Austrian state of Tirol. The branch was added in 1970.
