  • The German magazine Hagal was originally established by Rudolf John Gorsleben, a runologist and esotericist with an interest in Ariosophy, which is a spiritual movement with racist elements. Gorsleben founded the Edda Society and took over a weekly publication, renaming it from “Deutsche Freiheit” to “Arische Freiheit,” then to “Hag All All Hag” and finally “Hagal”. The magazine focused on topics such as runes, runic magic, and racial mysticism, and had over 2,000 subscribers at its peak. After Gorsleben’s death in 1930, the magazine continued under new management
