Description
Català: Escut d'Elda (Vinalopó Mitjà, País Valencià): «Escut rectangular amb base arrodonida [redona]. Sobre camp de gules (roig) dues torres del seu color [d'or] unides per un mur d'enllaç, amb porta a cada torre. En cap, flor de lis d'argent. Per orla, branca de llorer al flanc sinistre i de palma al destre. Per timbre, el de la nació. En les representacions en què convingua fer-ho així, podrà col·locar-se una cinta tancada de plata, cenyida a l'oval exterior, amb la llegenda “Fidelíssima Ciutat d'Elda”. » Descripció aprovada en el Ple municipal de l'Ajuntament de 2 de novembre de 1965(1). L'escut està sense oficialitzar, no apareix ni en el BOE ni en el DOGV ja que no es va arribar a aprovar pel Consell de Ministres (òrgan competent en 1965 i fins 1982), ni per la Generalitat Valenciana (competent des de 1982, després de l'aprovació de l'Estatut d'Autonomia).

Sobre campo de gules (rojo), dos torres de su color [en realidad, de oro] unidas por un muro de enlace, con puerta en cada torre. En jefe, flor de lis de plata. Por orla, rama de laurel al flanco siniestro y de palma al diestro. Por timbre, el de la nación. En las representaciones en que convenga hacerlo así, podrá colocarse una cinta cerrada de plata, ceñida al óvalo exterior, con la leyenda “Fidelísima Ciudad de Elda”.» Descripción aprobada en el Pleno municipal del Ayuntamiento de 2 de noviembre de 1965(1). El escudo está sin oficializar, no aparece en el BOE ni en el DOGV puesto que no se llegó a aprobar por el Consejo de Ministros (órgano competente en 1965 y hasta 1982), ni por la Generalitat Valenciana (competente desde 1982, tras la aprobación del Estatuto de Autonomía).
