Description
English: Elk Mill, Royton One of the last cotton spinning mills to be built (there were one or two around 1926) in Lancashire and opened 1927. Was driven by a Parsons steam turbine. The mill cost £250,000 and employed 400. Finally closed 1998. Now demolished.
