Description

Southern Gale Crater Strata with Possible Sulfates and Clays – Since clays form in the presence of water, there’s a good bet there was some liquid in the crater. The questions is, how much and for how long? The rover Curiosity’s continued work in Gale Crater might help us figure that out.
