Description
English: Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Joseph Mikes charges an arresting gear engine to the correct pressure to recover an aircraft aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during flight operations on May 29, 2007. Arresting gear engines are charged with specific pressures to recover multiple types of aircraft during flight operations. The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group is conducting operations in the Persian Gulf.
