Object history |
Deutsch: Zöschingen gehörte ursprünglich zur Herrschaft der Grafen von Dillingen. Deren Hauskloster Neresheim war hier reich begütert. Im Jahr 1275 erwarb der Deutschorden den Hauptanteil an Grundbesitz und Gerichtsrechten und konnte diesen Besitz bis Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts halten. Daran erinnert das schwarze Tatzenkreuz. Die Löwen stammen aus dem Wappen der Grafen von Dillingen und erinnern an deren Herrschaft in Zöschingen. Sie stehen auch im Klosterwappen von Neresheim. Die Farben Silber und Blau verweisen auf die bayerische Landeshoheit. Seit 1261 lag die hohe Gerichtsbarkeit beim Herzogtum Bayern. Im Jahr 1505 kam Zöschingen zum Fürstentum Pfalz-Neuburg. |
