Deutsch: Das Wappen ist abgeleitet von einem Gerichtssiegel von 1590. Es nimmt auf die historische Vergangenheit von Monsheim Bezug und vereinigt Teile aus den Wappen der Ortsherren, der Grafen von Leiningen (Adler) bzw. der Linie Leiningen-Westerburg (Kreuz).
English: This cross was the arms of the Lords of Westerburg, rulers of the village at the time. The arms were derived from a seal, known since 1590, and show the arms of the Counts of Leiningen-Westerburg (cross), combinde with the arms of the Counts of Leiningen (eagle).
