Deutsch: Kobern-Gondorf ist Sitz der zugehörigen Gemeinde. Der vordere Teil des Mantels zeigt die Wappen der Fürsten aus dem Geschlecht von der Leyen, deren Anwesen sich in Gondorf befindet. Der hintere Teil zeigt die Wappen der Herren von Covern, ehemalige lokale Herrscher über Kobern. Die beiden Burgen sind eine Repräsentation ihrer örtlichen Festungen, Niederburg und Oberburg genannt. Das Herzschild zeigt das Wappen des Erzbistums Trier.
English: Kobern-Gondorf is the seat of the associated municipality. The dexter part of the mantle displays the arms of the princes from the von der Leyen kin, whose estate is in Gondorf. The sinister part displays the arms of the Lords of Covern, former local rulers of Kobern. The two castles are a representation of their local fortresses, called Niederburg and Oberburg. The inescutcheon displays the arms of the Archbishopric of Trier. |
