DescriptionCisnadioara - portal vestic.jpg |
The romanic basilica, preserved till today wihtout major transformations dates back to the XII century, and is located in Cisnadioara (Michelsberg) at about 15 km from Sibiu (Hermannstadt). The church is sourounded by a round shaped fortified wall and it is one of the few romanic buildings of Transylvania which did not suffer any gothic "modernisation" durring the XIII and XIV century.
