Description
English: As the month of Chaitra,the last in the Bangla year,draws to an end,

the Hindu community comes together in a festival dedicated to the worship of Lord shiva and Parvati. The programme is locally knows as " Lal Kach"(red glass). The central idea behind this programme is for a group of soliders led by Shiva to appear on earth with a mission to destroy the force of evil. it's all part of a very long tredition going back hundred years.The Hindus, especially the young man and boys paint themselves in red,takes up swords,

bring out procession and dance through their local neighbourhoods weilding sword to ward of evil.
