Description

Canomaculina subtinctoria (Zahlbr.) Elix, 1997

Photograph of a herbarium specimen showing: a) mineral gray upper surface, b) brown lower surface, c) broad rounded lobes, d) marginal cilia, e) isidia, and f) white markings on the upper surface.

This specimen of Canomaculina subtinctoria was growing on bark near the Endless Mountain Retreat, S on County Road 601, about 2.4 miles from US 250 in Highland County, Virginia, USA.

Collected by E.C. Uebel (No. U-376, 8 Jun 2002), identified by Don G. Flenniken.
