Object history
Deutsch: Seit dem Jahr 2008 sind die beiden ehemaligen Gemeinden Ausserferrera und Innerferrfera unter dem neuen Namen Ferrera vereinigt. Beide ehemaligen Gemeinden wiesen das selbe Wappenmotiv des Bergmannhammers auf. Somit drängte sich für die vereinigte Gemeinde kein von Grund auf neues Wappen auf: Der Schild wurde lediglich in die Farben Schwarz und Weiss geteilt und mit dem Wappenmotiv in verwechselten Farben belegt. Der Bergmannshammer deutet auf den Bergbau, der in Ausser- und Innerferrera betrieben wurde. Die Farben sind jene des Oberen Bundes, zu dem die Gemeinde einst gehörte.
