Français : Les grilles des barrières de Paris sont toutes faites sur le même modèle ; elles ne diffèrent entre elles que par leur plus ou moins d’étendue et le nombre de leurs portes, qui sont ordinairement de trois, dont une principale au milieu. Celle que nous donnons se compose de dormans continus formes de fers de lances, posés sur un mur d’appui, et fortifiés alternativement en dehors et en dedans par des contreforts qui procurent un peu de variété à cette ligne d’enceinte naturellement monotone. De chaque côté de la porte à deux ventaux qui se ferme au moyen d’une bascule, dont nous donnons le détail en grand, sont deux porte-réverbères armés d’arcs-boutans servant de borne. Au-dessus de cette grille sont figurés les détails de ses différentes parties et la manière usitée pour fixer les barreaux selon leur forme et le sens sur lequel on les présente. |
