Diagram illustrating a brain-computer interface.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Diagram illustrating a brain-computer interface. A stimulus ("A") induces a brain signal in a human observer. This signal is recorded and features are extracted from it (here: mean amplitudes in two time windows). Given a feature distribution taken from earlier signals, the recorded signal can be interpreted (here: through linear discriminant analysis) and translated into a command. This command is displayed to the human, serving as the next stimulus.
