[edit]DescriptionBiological internal waves ESA346698.png |
English: This red–blue–green composite image of the Baltic Sea, which was captured by Sentinel-2A on 7 August 2015, has a spatial resolution of 10 m. Linear features across the image suggest that internal waves are changing the algae within the water column. As internal waves propagate and break they energise the upper layers of the water column and focus the algal blooms.
