Description Journal of the 1836 proceedings of the en:Michigan Territorial Convention, often called the en:Frost-Bitten Convention, as Michigan was compelled to accept the terms dictated by en:Ohio in ceding the en:Toledo strip over which the en:Toldeo War was fought. Via the toledoblade.com



The font used for the word ‘proceedings’ is Caslon’s notorious 1821 ‘Italian’ design, or a close copy of it, an attention-grabbing reverse-contrast display font apparently created as a parody of the Didone designs popular at the time.
