English: A man is out in a field and is checking for saline in the water. There is a pipeline in the background, fence in the foreground and a well where the water is coming from. It does not look like a populated area. Black/white contrast makes it seem cold.

English: Project for training and research in the utilization of saline water in irrigation. The United Nations Development Program has concluded agreement with the Government of Tunisia to work out the rules for irrigation with saline water in Tunisian cultivation and to train Tunisian engineers and technicians in this field. UNESCO has the responsibility for the implementation of this Project. Experimental ground in the Medjerda region.
Français : Project pour la recherche sur l'utilisation des eaux salées. Le Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement - dont l'UNESCO est l'agent d'exécution- a conolu un accord avec le Gouvernement Tunisian afin d'étudier les conditions d'utilisation des eaux salées pour l'irrigation des terres cultivables en Tunisia et pour former des ingénieurs et des techniciens dans ce domaine. Terrain expérimental dans la Madjerda.
